Terrain
The path is mostly quite level. However, much of the route is on unsurfaced, uneven paths with rocks and tree roots. Due to the rough terrain which can be muddy and slippery, good sturdy footwear is recommended.
Safety
As you cross over ewden beck on the west side there is a small section (10metres or so) where there isn't a pedestrian path)
Other considerations
Some large body of water contain argue which can be harmful to dogs , No toilets available,
flat walk with great views of broomhead reservoir
Broomhead circular is a peaceful walk in the Peak District National Park, taking in woodlands and glimpses across the reservoir. Although located on the doorstep of Sheffield, it is far enough off the beaten track to offer quiet solitude and immersion in nature.
Starting point – Yewtrees Lane (S36 3ZF)As you pass through Bolsterstone heading south theres a small area for parking on the left, part way down yewtrees lane.
Free parking area with limited spaces.

make your way though the metal style and down towards the reservoir
Continue down through the woodland until you arrive the bottom.
Here the path splits, you can either continue to moor hall reservoir or take a right and be greeted with a view of the picturesque broomhall reservoir.
Turn toward the yorkshire water tower but don’t cross.
Take another right turn so now you’re almost walking back on yourself with the reservoir on your your left.
After about a mile it’s time to cross over from the north to the south path.
Please be very careful, while the bridge does have a pedestrian path the distances between the gates and bridge doesn’t.
Taking you along the south edge of the reservoir you’ll meander through the woodland, after another 0.75mile and passing several gates, you’ll find you cant continue any further.
Exit through the gate thats situated next to a bin and another small parking area.
Heading back towards our starting point
Veer to the left, over the reservoir and back toward the tower
continue up and left back to your vehicle
